Splitting this post into four sections: What I will/will not draw, my prices, how to order a commission, and what to expect when you commission me (also known as the covering my rear section).
What I will draw:- Ponies (FiM or OC). Please include refs!
- Other FiM characters
What I won't draw:- Anything over a PG-13 rating
- Porn, gore, and fetishes (Take a look at my gallery and gauge for yourself)
- Humans and anthros (trust me on this one)
- OCs with canon characters will be handled on a case by case basis.
If you're unsure of anything, feel free to ask!
My prices: 1st character:B/W Lineart: $6.
Flat Color: $10.
Shaded:
- Simple cel-shade/highlight shading: $12.
- Soft shading: $15.
$2 surcharge for colored lineart/lineless
1/2 off each additional character (e.g.: simple shades 2 + 3 would cost $6 each.)
BackgroundsGradient or no background: $0.
Simple background: $3+.
- Block colored, unshaded
- Geometric or landscape

Extras
Special effects: Varies.
- Depends on how familiar I am with drawing the FX. Ask for details.
- Ex: lightning manipulation: $5.
Textured finish: $3.

- I'd charge this for fanfiction cover art, ads, etc.

Example prices:- (OLD) [link] - 1 flat-colored character w/ colored lineart ($10 + $2) + simple background ($3) = $15.
- [link] - 2 flat-colored characters ($10 + $5), simple background w/some shading ($10) = $25.
- [link] - 2 cel-shaded characters ($12 + $6), complex background ($15), and textured finish ($3) = $36.
How to commission me:Pretty simple! Send me a note here on dA or Gmail me at thecouchcrusader with your commission info. Let me know the following:
- Your contact information
- Which character(s) is/are in the picture and applicable references
- What they're doing
- Coloring preference
- Desired background
- Desired extra features
My responsibilities to you:- I will let you know up front whether or not I will be taking your commission, and how much it will cost if I do.
- I reserve the right to cancel work on any commission at any time. Should this occur, I will send you what I have completed and reimburse you for any parts of your commission left unfinished.
- I will provide you a preliminary sketch of your commission at no cost for corrections and input before continuing. Unless I spot something glaring that needs my immediate attention, I will not go back and fix a "final" image.
- I will notify you when your commission is complete and will provide you with a high-resolution PNG image upon receipt of full payment.
- I will finish your commission within two (2) weeks of your approval of the preliminary sketch. If I am unable to finish your commission within that time, I will consider the commission canceled as described above unless we work out an extension in advance.
Your responsibilities to me:- Agree to pay the amount I quote you.
- Send no payments before I have completed the preliminary sketch to your satisfaction.
- After you approve the sketch, your payment is due in full. You may contact me to make other payment arrangements if necessary, but a one-time transaction lessens the chance that something goes wrong.
I'll toss up a queue journal sometime later, but for now I'm only going to be taking on two commissions. Heh, I doubt I'll even fill that, but who knows?
